- Understanding the advantages of Dimensions in BC over segmented G/L Accounts in GP
- Learn why Posting Groups in BC are preferred by auditors but may disappoint a few users
- Uncover the power of the BC General Journal that GP can never match
- Learn why BC is in a better position to meet the needs of a global economy
I have almost 20 years of experience with Business Central and most of that working with users in a variety of companies including service companies and not-for-profit organizations like regional airport authorities and mental health services providers. With manufacturers, distributors and food companies like the ones that sell the equipment and supplies to shops that make the fudge you love to buy when on vacation or the souvenirs you purchase before you walk out the door. And of course, with international organizations including operations in multiple countries. This variety of experience implementing, upgrading, training and providing ongoing help to users to improve their use of technology in support of their changing businesses provides me with a unique perspective.
Over the years, I have helped users move to BC from Dynamics GP, mainframe systems, QuickBooks with spreadsheets, and everything in between. As users of Dynamics GP, you are in a unique position to not only upgrade to a cloud-first, robust solution but also do so with the benefit of knowledge and tools that companies coming from solutions outside of the Microsoft Business Solution family aren’t privy to.
My hope is that what you learn throughout the month of November will help to allay some of the concerns you may have with upgrading from GP to BC. At least from a finance perspective. You may have seen posts, videos or blogs from GP consultants, but use November to learn more about the differences from a BC perspective.
